Honey Creek Scenic Area @ Cumberland River
Due to some injuries this event turned into more camp life than hiking, but a great trip nonetheless. We left Knoxville early in the morning and hit the trail around 7:30 am. The hike in includes some pretty steep descents and ladders, but we navigated the terrain for the short distance to camp.

Our camp was one that Go-Girl discovered on one of our prior trips to the area. We decided it was perfect for our weekend getaway. Everyone setup their sleeping arrangements and we headed over to the Cumberland River for some scouting and exploring the low water conditions.
The weather was exceptional and Bug Whisperer even jumped into the river for a little swimming. Liberty was able to explore and run free for several hours. She really needed a break away!
