Honey Creek Trail Primitive Campsites

This campsite has some amazing views and is really a pretty neat area. It sits on a rock outcropping with several drop-off points. Plenty of downed trees for a fire. It’s pretty windy up there and you will be exposed to all elements. This area is pet friendly and also located directly on the trail, so expect many visitors.

This campsite has some nice tree cover and great water access. It is extremely public as the fire ring is about 4 feet from the trail. Ground cover is clear for the most part. Pitching a tent will normally be on a slight slope unless you get right at the water. This area is pet friendly!

This campsite is considered one of the treasures of this trail. So get there early and setup before continuing your hike. I suspect in the summertime this campsite is continually booked solid. Great water access with the Cumberland River right next to you. Great flat pitching areas and plenty to see! There are plenty of other sites directly next to this one and even a couple of hidden ones. Just look around the area very closely.

This campsite is for the person(s) who wants a quick stop to drop packs and have a nice little camp setup to explore Honey Creek. This camp is only .30 miles from the trailhead.  This area is pet friendly and also located directly on the trail, so expect many visitors.

Twin Arches Trail Primitive Campsites

This campsite is a jewel hidden behind Charit Creek Lodge and is not accessible via trail. You have to make your way through charit creek’s back area and into the woods. The current caretaker is aware of this location and will question you before letting you in.
