Find a fabric measuring tape, a string or a piece of yarn for this measurement. Then follow these instructions to get the information:

  1. Find your C7 Vertebra! Place your hand flat on the back of your neck and move down until you feel a bump in the center. That is your C7 Vertebrae and the starting point for your measurement.

  2. Find your Iliac Crest! With your hands extend your thumb and pointer fingers to create an L in your left hand and a backwards L in your right hand. Place your “Ls” on your waist at your hip bones. You can visualize where the Iliac Crest is located from the picture shown. Keeping your hands in place, go to step #3.

  4. Have your friend place the measuring device at your the C7 Vertebrae and create a straight line down the middle of your back stopping where your thumbs meet or would meet if they could :). This number is your Torso Length.
