It’s time for another adventure at Midlife Hiking Club! I promised an active and busy backpacking season! This adventure takes us to Black Rock Mountain State Park and will include summits and waterfalls as a reward for making the journey. Thanks to Snake Stepper, REI, and AtlantaTrails.com for this adventure recommendation.

This adventure is free, short of the Georgia State Park parking $5 to $10 dollars per vehicle. The backpacking / overnight portion of this adventure has limited availability (6 members) due to primitive site occupancy restrictions in the park. For overnighters / backpackers above the 6 members, there are other camping options available at the park. Please read the itinerary carefully as we are day-hiking several trails before backpacking to our campsite.

This is a Fur-Baby Friendly area, so bring along your four-legged hiking pals to enjoy nature with you. Liberty will be involved in every part of this adventure. If you have issues with dogs, please take that into consideration when planning on participating. All dogs must be leashed and/or under physical control by their owner.
